About The Position
Applications will be considered on an as-needed basis determined by course availability. The College of Southern Nevada (CSN) is seeking a Part-Time Instructor for Air Conditioning Technology for Fiscal Year 2027. CSN is Nevada's largest college and one of the largest in the nation, operating in over 50 locations with 3 main campuses and multiple sites. Requirements
- Background and experience in courses taught
Nice To Haves
- EPA Section 608 Certification
- Current HVAC Excellence, NATE or ICE certifications
- 10 years of service experience in the Air Conditioning Industry
- Knowledgeable in Residential & Commercial Air Conditioning, Refrigeration, Gas Furnaces, Essential Plant Operations, and Building Systems Operations
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to act effectively as a member of a team
- Self-starter, creative, goal-oriented and organized
- AAS in Air Conditioning Technology or similar
- Experience teaching in a community college setting
- Experience working with a diverse/multicultural student body and/or workforce
- Knowledge of computer classroom technologies
Responsibilities
- Lecture and Lab instruction for Air Conditioning Technology Courses
- Develop Syllabi, Lesson Plans, and course materials in conjunction with Lead Faculty
- Evaluate student mastery of skills and competencies required by course outcomes
- Provide an excellent teaching experience as well as student advisement, recruitment activities and program/curriculum development.
Benefits
- Salary: $925.00 per credit hour. Credits will vary by semester.
