About The Position
The College of Southern Nevada (CSN) is seeking a Part-Time Instructor for Diesel Technology for Fiscal Year 2027. This role involves providing lecture and lab instruction, ensuring lab safety, evaluating student mastery of skills, and advising students. There may be opportunities for curriculum development. The instructor is also expected to attend staff meetings and recruitment activities as requested. CSN is Nevada's largest college and one of the largest in the nation, serving over 50,000 students across multiple campuses and sites. Requirements
- 5 years of experience in the Diesel Heavy Truck/Equipment Industry
Nice To Haves
- Associate of Applied Science Degree in Diesel Technologies
- Cummins/Caterpillar/Detroit Engine Certified
- Experience working with a diverse/multicultural student body and/or workforce
- Knowledge of computer classroom technologies
- Knowledge in Canvas or other Learning Management Systems
Responsibilities
- Lecture and Lab instruction for Diesel Technology courses.
- Provide Lab Safety Training.
- Evaluate student mastery of skills and competencies required by course outcomes.
- Provide advisement to students.
- Some program and or curriculum development may be requested.
- Attend staff meetings and recruitment activities as requested.
