About The Position

The Instructional Design Specialist (IDS) is responsible for the assessment, analysis, design, development, deployment, evaluation and maintenance of all e-learning programming. Designs engaging and interactive learning activities that include sound instructional design methodology. Partners with the Learning Management System (LMS) administer and develops and maintains the department web page. Works collaboratively with the Nurses in Professional Development, Educators, Subject Matter Experts (SME’s) and organizational leaders with the goal of providing online educational programming that meets the strategic goals of the organization.

Requirements

• Bachelor degree in instructional design or related field.
• Two (2) years of experience in education and instructional design, with an emphasis on the development of e-Learning programs.
• Health care focus is preferred.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of adult learning principles, particularly as it relates to online learners.
• Demonstrated competence with instructional design and courseware development methods.
• Expertise in courseware design software, such as MS Office, Photoshop, Captivate or comparable software.
• Experience in administering a Learning Management System.
• Strong writing, editing and proofreading skills.
• Ability to prioritize, manage multiple projects and effectively meet deadlines.
• Ability to be adaptable and creative under pressure.
• Excellent problem solving and project management skills.
