About The Position

The SAS Instructional Assistant provides quality care and educational support for school-age children in a safe, nurturing environment, following Learning Grove standards and state guidelines. This part-time position is based at Erpenbeck Elementary School in Florence, Kentucky, and runs Monday through Friday from approximately 6:30 a.m. to 8:45 a.m. The role supports children’s learning and development through structured activities, creativity, positive interactions, and positive guidance. The assistant helps maintain an organized classroom, completes assigned tasks and documentation, and follows applicable licensing, SUTQ/STARS, and Learning Grove requirements. The position also involves maintaining professionalism, confidentiality, and positive relationships with families and staff, as well as participating in required training and professional development.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds, bend, move frequently, and remain active throughout the day.

Nice To Haves

Some post-secondary education.
Childcare experience.

Responsibilities

Supervise children and ensure their safety at all times.
