About The Position

This is a part-time (0.75 FTE) Instructional Assistant II position at Dewey School, working 6 hours per day. The role involves providing 1:1 support for students with mild/moderate needs in Resource, Learning Handicap, or Communicatively Handicap programs. Duties may include running small groups, assisting students in larger groups within Special Day Class or General Education settings, and supporting teacher needs. Candidates should possess relevant experience and training to perform the job duties. Some programs may require a valid California Class C Driver License within 30 days of hire.

Requirements

Attach High School Diploma or equivalent
Attach one document [A or B]: [A] Passing score from San Juan Unified School District's Proficiency Exam (April 2005 to current) OR [B] Official passing score from the California Basic Educational Skills Test (CBEST)
Passing the IA Proficiency Test or having the CBEST is required, regardless of educational background

If degree/transcripts are from a foreign college or university, YOU MUST have coursework evaluated for its equivalency to a degree/transcripts received from an accredited United States college or university
