About The Position

This is a 1:1 support position for students with mild/moderate support needs, working with students served in Resource, Learning Handicap, or Communicatively Handicap programs. The role involves running small groups, assisting students in large groups in both Special Day Class and General Education settings, and supporting the teacher's needs. The district is looking for candidates with a combination of experience and training that provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job duties.

Requirements

• Must pre-qualify by attaching High School Diploma or equivalent
• Passing score from San Juan Unified School District's Proficiency Exam (April 2005 to current) OR Official passing score from the California Basic Educational Skills Test (CBEST)
• Passing the IA Proficiency Test or having the CBEST is required, regardless of educational background.
• In some programs, possession of, or willingness and ability to obtain a valid California Class C Driver License within 30 days of hire or before driving any equipment/vehicle requiring this license.
