About The Position

Instructional Assistant II - 1:1 Mild/Moderate Support. This role involves working with students served in Resource, Learning Handicap, or Communicatively Handicap programs. Typical duties include running small groups, assisting students in large groups in both Special Day Class settings or General Education, and supporting the teacher's needs. We are looking for candidates with any combination of experience and training which provides the candidate with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job duties.

Requirements

Must pre-qualify by attaching your High School Diploma or equivalent
Passing score from San Juan Unified School District's Proficiency Exam (testing date must be April 2005 to current)
Official passing score from the California Basic Educational Skills Test (CBEST)
Passing the IA Proficiency Test or having the CBEST is required, regardless of educational background

If your degree/transcripts are from a foreign college or university, YOU MUST have coursework evaluated for its equivalency to a degree/transcripts received from an accredited United States college or university
