About The Position
The Instructional Assistant II (6 Hours) at Legette is a part-time, permanent position within the Support Staff & Services category, specifically in Instructional Support. This role involves working with students who have mild/moderate disabilities, including those served in Resource, Learning Handicap, or Communicatively Handicap programs. Typical duties include conducting small group and large group activities, supporting students in Special Day Class and General Education settings, and assisting the teacher with their needs. The position requires relevant experience and training that provides the candidate with the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job duties. Some programs may require possession of, or willingness to obtain, a valid California Class C Driver License within 30 days of hire.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Passing score from San Juan Unified School District's Proficiency Exam (testing date must be April 2005 to current) OR Official passing score from the California Basic Educational Skills Test (CBEST).
- For Title I Sites: Official transcripts demonstrating the completion of two years of college (48 semester/60 quarter units) OR Proof of an A.A. degree (or higher).
- If degree/transcripts are from a foreign college or university, coursework must be evaluated for its equivalency to a degree/transcripts from an accredited U.S. college or university.
