About The Position

This is a part-time, permanent position for an Instructional Assistant specializing in supporting Deaf and Hard of Hearing students. The role involves working 7 hours per day, 5 days a week, for 9 months a year (18B calendar). The position is located at Will Rogers Middle School.

Requirements

• Must pre-qualify by attaching one documentation [A, B, C, or D item] from the following list: [A] Passing score from SJUSD's Proficiency Exam - testing date must be April 2005 to current. No other school districts proficiency exam accepted.
• [B] Official passing score from the California Basic Educational Skills Test (CBEST)
• [C] OFFICIAL transcripts demonstrating the completion of two years of college (48 semester/60 quarter units)
• [D] Proof of an A.A. degree (or higher). If your degree/transcripts are from a foreign college or university, YOU MUST have coursework evaluated for its equivalency to a degree/transcripts received from an accredited United States college or university.

Responsibilities

• Provide instructional support to Deaf and Hard of Hearing students.
• Work 7 hours per day, Monday - Friday, 7:30 AM - 3:00 PM.
• Adhere to the 18B calendar (9 months/year, 206 days/year).
