About The Position
MSS Fire and Security, LLC is hiring an Installer - Fire to install fire alarm systems and access control equipment. The role involves reading plans and drawings, supporting technicians with system point checks, assisting with installation troubleshooting, and maintaining customer satisfaction. The position also includes other duties as assigned by the Company. The position requires a professional approach, the ability to work with basic hand tools, follow directions, and communicate clearly. The work involves varied physical demands and exposure to a range of environmental and job-site conditions. A valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record are required, as are successful background and drug checks. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred. Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience installing and/or testing, inspecting, and performing minor repairs on a variety of fire alarm systems, or a combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential job functions.
- Ability to present oneself professionally.
- Ability to work with basic hand tools, follow directions, and read and write.
- Knowledge of NEC and NFPA codes and regulations.
- Ability to communicate clearly and follow directions.
- Ability to arrive on time, ready to work, and in uniform.
- Ability to follow basic safe work practices.
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
- Must successfully pass a background check and drug test.
- Must be able to meet the stated physical demands, including frequent stooping, crouching, kneeling, balancing, and climbing; constant standing, walking, reaching, and gripping; and lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Must have close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth vision, and be able to adjust focus; must be able to talk and hear.
