Installation Riggers carry out rigging installation activities in accordance with Encore Rigging Installation Standards and share responsibility for safety and quality. The role requires attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, physical stamina, and close teamwork. Most work is performed at height, using safety harnesses to reach work areas through ceilings or rope access where direct access is unavailable. Installation Riggers are responsible for working safely and efficiently while maintaining project quality, schedule, and budget. Riggers build rigging hang-points using beam clamps and concrete epoxy anchors, following the design and engineering plans. They may work long hours at height in a harness and use tools and construction equipment on the ground and at height. The role includes collecting and transferring tools and materials, preparing and organizing job sites, identifying potential obstructions and solutions under the Project Manager’s direction, communicating issues, and cleaning and preparing the ballroom for release. The position also involves inspecting tools, hardware, materials, and personnel lifts; ensuring installed rigging points meet Encore standards before use; and sharing safety knowledge with others onsite. Installation Riggers may assist the Rigging Inspection Team with annual and as-needed inspections of points installed by Encore or outside contractors. Extensive travel is required. Work takes place in hotels that may be under construction and can range from moderately quiet to noisy, with substantial dust and dirt. Work schedules may include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
