About The Position

Dematic is hiring a manager of the installation training and tools team. This person oversees a team of subject matter experts for one or more of the 24 technologies and over 300 products within the Dematic Global Catalog. This person will be responsible for providing direction to the subject matter expert team. The location of this role is flexible, with the capability to travel to customer sites.

Requirements

  • Physically able to traverse construction site environments.
  • Must be willing to travel on short notice and spend up to 75% of the time traveling.
  • Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint and able to navigate MS Project.
  • Project Management Training or knowledge of Project Management Methodologies.
  • Knowledge of Lean Guiding Principles (TIMWOOD- Transportation, Inventory, Motion, Waiting, Overproduction, Overprocessing and Defects).
  • Willingness to work weekends as needed.
  • Must be able to act calmly in stressful situations.
  • Understanding personal computer hardware setup and software configuration required.
  • Strong planning and coordination skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint and able to navigate MS Project.
  • Project Management Training or knowledge of Project Management Methodologies.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's Degree preferred or 5 years of experience in a relevant field.
  • OSHA training or certificate preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manages SME support of Product development, focusing on Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and People.
  • Manages SME support of Quality, R&D, and Execution teams as it relates to improvement ideas, deficiencies in manufacturing or delivery, improper documentation, alignment with costing, installation errors, and required training.
  • Drive reporting to completion through the internal Dematic process.
  • Development and delivery of product training as it relates to installation.
  • Coordinate support for product-related emergencies for customers.
  • Coordinate Support for the estimating group with project-specific effects to pricing and schedule as it relates to product expertise.
  • Actively engage with engineering to standardize execution.
  • Support other training team-related topics, such as tools and process standards, on project sites.
  • Coordinate and track audits as to the quality of the product installation.
  • Coordinate additional assistance with the training of subcontractors in the installation of Dematic and other MHE equipment within the technology of expertise.
