Requirements

  • Outgoing and energetic personality.
  • Knowledge of proper use of tools, equipment, materials, and supplies used in home improvement construction work.
  • Ability to use equipment and tools properly and safely.
  • Some knowledge of first aid.
  • Understanding of the construction industry safety standards and procedures to ensure project security.
  • Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills on a technical level.
  • Able to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to present information and speak effectively before managers, customers, and employees of the company.
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries and complaints from customers.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or schedule form.
  • Stress tolerance.
  • Demonstrates patience with frustrated customers.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and time management abilities.
  • Ability to solve practical problems.
  • OSHA 10 Certification
  • 3+ years of management/training experience
  • 7+ years of technical and trade experience
  • Drug Screen required.
  • Must be able to pass a background check.
  • A valid driver’s license.

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred; however, trade and training experience can be substituted for having a degree.

Responsibilities

  • Implements and directs the internal development and skill sets of production personnel.
  • Supervises the branch’s formal training program and keeps detailed records on progress and assessments of both new and existing production personnel that are assigned.
  • Assesses the production personnel’s development needs, helps individuals and groups develop skills and knowledge, assists in creating training programs/guides.
  • Supervises the installation of showers and walk-in baths from beginning to end.
  • Works with installation crew members, in training or otherwise, to achieve completion of the project with the highest level of safety, quality, efficiency, and conformance to the original plans and specifications.
  • Oversees daily training workflow.
  • Responsible for training and evaluating production personnel; reports evaluations to the Install Manager.
  • Ensures implementation and adherence to safety procedures.
  • Inspects team(s) for proper tools and provides instruction on proper usage.
  • Brings out the best of the production personnel by providing training, coaching, development, and motivation.
  • Works with the Installation Manager on potential re-training needs of installers based on the installers’ service record or leveling needs.
  • Oversees in-house training sessions (both initial and ongoing) for production personnel.
  • Manages, arranges, and documents all required training for production personnel.
  • Collaborates with Install Managers and the Service Manager regarding instruction and training planning.
  • Reviews project plans, drawings, and job surveys to ensure that the project is built according to design.
  • Checks job order to ensure having required materials to complete the installation.
  • Analyzes job sites prior to beginning an installation to make sure a quality installation can be achieved.
  • Works with crew members (both employee and subcontractors) to complete installation projects within established industry, manufacturer, and Company standards.
  • Performs a variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labor in home improvement construction projects.
  • Loads and unloads trucks/trailers, and hauls and hoists bathroom fixtures, materials and equipment.
  • Oversees Technician Assistants; ensures installation team looks and acts in a professional manner to customers.
  • Maintains high levels of quality assurance and quality control with an emphasis on health and safety standards.
  • Diagnoses and troubleshoots all installation and operational issues with each project.
  • Collaborates with Installation Manager, Technician Assistants, plumbers, and electricians, if applicable, in installing bathroom fixtures and correcting issues associated with each project.
  • Analysis of problems and identifies appropriate tools and materials for repair.
  • Writes report documenting the problem and summary of actions taken.
  • Communicates with customers in a professional, considerate, and respectful manner, answering all questions and concerns to the best of their ability.
  • Maintains a professional appearance to customers and employees.
  • Assists with the training of Technician Assistants.
  • Knows the formal and informal goals, standards, policies, and procedures which may include some familiarity of other departments and is sensitive to the interrelationship of both people and functions within the organization.
  • Adheres to all Company policies and procedures.
  • Takes part in training and other learning opportunities to expand knowledge of the Company, its products, and the Training Lead position.
  • Understands and strives to meet or exceed the Company’s objectives in providing quality customer service.
