About The Position

The Install Helper supports lead installers in completing home system installations safely and correctly. The role involves learning on the job and contributing to installation work as part of a team. Employees are expected to work hard, efficiently, and professionally while following company policies and procedures, maintaining clean work areas and vehicles, and helping ensure customers are satisfied. Requirements

• Ability to lift and maneuver equipment weighing up to 100 pounds.
• Ability to crawl, climb, kneel, squat, bend, and reach overhead.
• Ability to climb and work on ladders.
• Ability to use hand and power tools.
• Ability to braze and solder equipment as needed.
• Drug testing and background checks are conditions of employment.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Communicate professionally and respectfully with customers, office staff, and coworkers.
• Participate in required staff meetings and training sessions.
• Maintain a positive attitude and contribute to a professional, friendly work environment.
• Work hard, smart, and efficiently.
• Follow company policies and procedures.
• Wear floor savers in clients’ homes and use drop cloths to protect floors during installation; keep the work area neat.
• Re-check each aspect of installations before leaving to help prevent callbacks, using the Installation Excellence Form.
• Explain the completed system to the client and ensure the client is satisfied with the work.
• Work safely on the job and while driving, and ensure the assistant installer is working safely and neatly.
• Maintain the minimum production level determined by management and the annual plan.
• Perform full system change-outs within the time determined by the manager.
• Keep trucks clean and neat inside and outside.
• Adhere to company policies and codes when performing installation jobs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
