About The Position

The Install Helper supports lead installers to ensure installation jobs are completed safely and correctly. The role provides on-the-job learning and contributes to installations of systems that make homes more comfortable. Helpers are expected to work hard, learn new skills, maintain a professional and friendly work environment, and follow company policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Ability to lift and maneuver equipment weighing up to 100 pounds.
• Ability to crawl, climb, kneel, squat, bend, and reach overhead.
• Ability to climb and work on ladders.
• Ability to use hand and power tools.
• Ability to braze and solder equipment as needed.
• Drug testing and background checks are conditions of employment.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Communicate professionally and respectfully with customers, office staff, and coworkers.
• Participate in required staff meetings and training sessions.
• Maintain a positive attitude and promote a professional, friendly work environment.
• Work hard, smart, and efficiently.
• Follow company policies and procedures.
• Wear floor savers and use drop cloths to protect clients' floors during installations.
• Keep the work area neat at all times.
• Re-check each aspect of an installation before leaving the job, using the Installation Excellence Form, to prevent callbacks.
• Explain the system to the client after installation and ensure the client is fully satisfied with the work.
• Work safely on the job and while driving, and ensure the assistant installer also works safely and neatly.
• Maintain the minimum production level determined by management and the annual plan.
• Perform full system change-outs within the time determined by the manager.
• Keep trucks neat and clean inside and outside.
• Adhere to company policies and codes when performing installation jobs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
