About The Position

Eaton’s IS AER ITD Aerospace Interconnect division is currently seeking an Inspection Supervisor for the 1st Shift in Aerospace Manufacturing. This position reports to the Site Quality Leadership and directs the Quality Control function. It involves providing leadership, mentoring, evaluation, and development for Quality Inspectors. The role includes establishing and maintaining robust process controls and improvement programs for Suppliers, Receiving Inspection, In-process Inspection, Final Inspection, and Quality Assurance. The supervisor will also facilitate problem-solving, ensure coordination and communication of corrective and preventive actions, and assist the quality manager in system development and maintenance. Additionally, this role provides coordination with Quality Engineering to support customer satisfaction, supplier performance programs, corrective actions, and quality initiatives. The incumbent will encourage employee participation in resolving product quality problems, implement employee recognition, and promote positive attitudes towards quality assurance and reliability of Eaton Aerospace products.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum 3 years experience in a MFG. Quality Control/Assurance function related to Factory Inspection and/or Calibration.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship both now and in the future.
  • All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR (U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident, Political Asylee, or Refugee).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with hydraulics and electro-mechanical applications
  • ASQ CQE, CQM, CQA.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt/ Black belt
  • Experience in high mix/low volume manufacturing environment
  • Experience in AS9100D manufacturing environment
  • Working knowledge of Practical Inspection techniques
  • Knowledge of FAA Standards and Reporting is a plus
  • Working knowledge of SAP for MRP applications
  • Experience with Enovia, or a similar product lifecycle management tool
  • Experience with AS9100, AS9102.
  • Experience with Material Review Board and Corrective Action Board functions.
  • Experience working with continuous improvement and problem solving tools including root cause corrective action, failure analysis, 8D charts and process flow diagrams

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement and monitor performance against short and long-range plans to achieve quality control and objectives.
  • Implement short and long-range plans relative to quality assurance.
  • Identify needs, and develop the quality control department.
  • Develop or modify quality procedures, metrics and processes to achieve quality and on time delivery goals.
  • Provide direction to ensure compliance with all applicable customer requirements and government regulations involving product quality.
  • Select and develop competent inspectors and auditors to ensure quality goals are achieved.
  • Provide reports as required and drive corrective action and preventive action for timely and effective completion.
  • Assist as required in all qualify assurance functions as necessary.
  • Assure effective communication and reporting to customers.
  • Assure compliance with control phase of quality systems and initiatives such as internal auditing, statistical process control and testing.
  • Support the development and utilization of quality feedback tools to maintain and implement "lessons learned".
  • Support the achievement of Business Operating System Quality Goals and Objectives, as indentified by the Quality Leadership.
