About The Position

The MFG Engineering Technician will support Manufacturing Engineering functions through the industrialization of new and existing products utilizing Lean concepts including continuous flow, pull, and error proofing. Initiate, analyze and follow projects to completion within assigned area of responsibility. Perform general and specific engineering duties associated with the development of an assigned project or line of apparatus. Support Eaton Continuous Improvement System (ECIS) for initiatives in overall product line operations. Be capable of independent judgement with a minimum of supervision.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree completed (or completing May 2026)
  • Minimum 1 year of experience working in a manufacturing environment

Nice To Haves

  • Working knowledge of problem solving and quality techniques
  • 1+ years’ experience using AutoCAD (2d or 3d) or similar modeling tools

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement Lean Continuous Flow assembly lines to reduce cycle time, improve efficiency, and simplify work content.
  • Lead and support Kaizen and Rapid Improvement Events with cross functional teams to drive performance improvements.
  • Conduct GEMBA walks, plant audits, and Tier Meeting participation to identify and track continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Apply Eaton Lean System tools to support cost reduction, capital project launches, and operational excellence initiatives.
  • Perform Lean analyses including time studies, setup reduction, capability studies, waste walks, and 5S audits.
  • Support Manufacturing Engineering and ECR/PDP processes, including standard work development, change verification, and operator training.
  • Execute hands on improvements such as workstation enhancements, layout changes, safety projects, CAD interpretation, and purchase order issuance.
