About The Position

Vishay Centerline is seeking an Inspection Operator to monitor product quality by checking substrates for defects and imperfections at various points in production. The operator will also be cross-trained to use precision finishing machines. The position is based on-site at Vishay Centerline’s machine shop in Hudson, Massachusetts, which has around 20 employees. The listed schedule is 2nd shift, 2:00 p.m.–12:30 a.m., Monday through Thursday, on a four-day workweek.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and finger dexterity.
• Demonstrated experience handling small and fragile parts.
• Strong attention to detail and a continuous-improvement attitude.
• Self-motivation, a strong sense of personal ownership, and a team attitude.
• Must qualify as a “U.S. Person” under applicable federal regulations because the position requires access to export-controlled information.

• Previous experience working in a production or manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Inspect materials against print specifications before, during, and after production.
• Clean and pack parts.
• Populate the Yield Analysis Board.
• Document inspection findings.
• Use high- and low-powered microscopes, micrometers, and calipers.
• Maintain a clean work area and keep equipment orderly.
• Communicate regularly with machine operators and management.
• Cross-train to operate precision finishing machines.
