About The Position

Vishay Centerline is seeking an Inspection Operator to monitor product quality by checking substrates for defects and imperfections at various stages of production. The role also includes cross-training to operate precision finishing machines. The position is based on-site at Vishay Centerline’s machine shop in Hudson, Massachusetts, which has around 20 employees. The schedule is Monday through Thursday, 2:00 p.m. to 12:30 a.m., on a four-day work week. Applicants must qualify as U.S. Persons under applicable federal regulations because the position requires access to export-controlled information.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and finger dexterity.
• Demonstrated experience handling small and fragile parts.
• Strong attention to detail and a continuous-improvement attitude.
• Self-motivation, a strong sense of personal ownership, and a team attitude.
• Must qualify as a U.S. Person as defined by applicable U.S. federal regulations.

• Previous experience working in a production or manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Inspect materials against print specifications before, during, and after production.
• Clean and pack parts.
• Populate the Yield Analysis Board.
• Document inspection findings.
• Use high- and low-powered microscopes, micrometers, and calipers.
• Maintain a clean work area and keep equipment orderly.
• Communicate regularly with machine operators and management.
• Cross-train to operate precision finishing machines.
