About The Position

The Inside Sales Rep serves as a key customer contact and consultant at a Fluid Solutions branch, recommending solutions and quoting, selling, and fulfilling orders for equipment and services based on customer needs. The role focuses on fluid solutions equipment rentals and supplies, building customer relationships, delivering outstanding service, and supporting sales and branch growth. The position is designated Safety Sensitive under United Rentals’ policies and procedures.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience.
Strong sales and customer service skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel.
Excellent teamwork, interpersonal, and communication skills.
Keen attention to detail and diligent attention to safety.
Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.

Knowledge of fluid solutions-related products and applications.

Responsibilities

Develop an understanding of the rental business for specialty engineered rental products and services, including electric and hydraulic pumps.
Process rental quotations, reservations, and contracts.
Establish new rental and sales accounts by serving walk-in and call-in customers.
Educate customers about proper equipment use.
Coordinate with inside and outside branch employees to deliver customer satisfaction.
Coordinate and track daily equipment pickups and returns.
Run reports to monitor equipment and facilitate smooth operations.
Maintain accurate inventory records of branch assets.
Perform other duties as assigned.
