About The Position

The Inside Sales Associate supports the customer experience in a fast-paced, customer-facing role. The associate assists customers at the counter and over the phone by answering product questions, processing orders, recommending solutions, and helping ensure a smooth sales and pickup experience. The role involves building strong customer relationships while supporting showroom and basic warehouse operations. It is suited to someone who enjoys helping customers, learning products, and working in a hands-on team environment. The position is located at 33 Acme Way Ste 100, Wilmington, North Carolina 28435. The stated work hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Pay is $18–$22, with performance bonuses up to $2,500.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Excellent customer service attitude and comfort interacting directly with customers for most of the day.
Strong computer skills, including the ability to use basic computer systems and MS Office.
Ability to safely move products weighing up to 100 lbs. using equipment such as a dolly.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED.
At least 1 year of related inside sales experience.
Familiarity with pool supplies, parts, chemicals, or pool construction or maintenance.

Responsibilities

Assist walk-in and phone customers with product questions, orders, and service needs.
Enter sales orders accurately, generate invoices, and process payments or credit authorizations according to company policy.
Recommend products and solutions based on customer needs and product availability.
Evaluate and determine the disposition of warranty items handled at the counter, in accordance with the manufacturer's warranty policy and customer needs.
Provide customers with estimated delivery dates based on knowledge of vendor production and delivery schedules.
Pull, stage, and distribute customer orders efficiently, including occasional use of an RF scanner.
Restock and replenish showroom merchandise to maintain product availability and presentation.
Cross-train in receiving, shipping, and general warehouse duties to support branch operations.
