About The Position

The Inside Sales Associate supports the customer experience in a fast-paced, customer-facing role. The associate assists customers at the counter and by phone with product questions, orders, recommendations, and service needs, while helping ensure a smooth sales and pickup experience. The role also involves building customer relationships and supporting showroom and basic warehouse operations. The position is based at POOLCORP in Lakeland, Florida. Pay is $17 per hour, with performance bonuses of up to $2,500. Work hours are Monday through Friday, 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Requirements

Must be 18 years of age or older.
Excellent customer service attitude and comfort interacting directly with customers for most of the day.
Strong computer skills, including the ability to use basic computer systems and MS Office.
Ability to safely move products weighing up to 100 lbs. using equipment such as a dolly.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED.
At least one year of related inside sales experience.
Familiarity with pool supplies, parts, chemicals, or pool construction or maintenance.

Responsibilities

Assist walk-in and phone customers with product questions, orders, and service needs.
Enter sales orders accurately, generate invoices, and process payments or credit authorizations according to company policy.
Recommend products and solutions based on customer needs and product availability.
Evaluate and determine the disposition of warranty items handled at the counter, following manufacturer warranty policy and customer needs.
Provide estimated delivery dates based on knowledge of vendors’ production and delivery schedules.
Pull, stage, and distribute customer orders efficiently, occasionally using an RF scanner.
Restock and replenish showroom merchandise to maintain product availability and presentation.
Cross-train in receiving, shipping, and general warehouse duties to support branch operations.
