About The Position

ADI Global Distribution is hiring an Inside Sales Associate to increase market share, uncover new opportunities, and provide solutions to customer needs that support long-term customer partnerships. The role focuses on growing assigned accounts profitably, developing the customer base, building relationships, demonstrating product knowledge, and promoting ADI’s resources, services, and programs. The associate provides customer support in-store, by phone, and online, while contributing to team sales and exceptional customer service.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of sales experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic computer literacy, including the ability to operate Microsoft Office.
• Desire to work in a sales role and be accountable for sales revenue.

• Prior experience in retail, hospitality, or customer service, with the ability to negotiate and an understanding of marketing skills.
• Knowledge of customer relationship management tools.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-driven environment and meet or exceed goals and targets.
• Prior distribution experience.

• Ability to work both as part of a team and autonomously.

Responsibilities

• Meet performance targets by growing revenue and increasing the margin of assigned accounts.
• Increase order size and customer transactions, and use pricing tools to improve margin percentage.
• Add new customers and grow the customer base.
• Identify opportunities and convert customer purchases from competitors.
• Manage existing accounts through regular communication using the customer database.
• Make outbound calls and meet the daily minimum call requirement to present leads.
• Build positive relationships within ADI to encourage team sales and exceptional customer service.
• Educate customers about new products and product lines, keeping up with industry developments.
• Maintain and update customer interactions in the tracking system.
• Apply product and service knowledge when selling to customers.
• Explain product features and advantages in non-technical terms.
• Stay current on new offerings and technology trends through industry news and other sources.
• Promote ADI’s brand by leveraging its resources, services, and programs to educate customers.
• Provide an exceptional shopping experience in-store, by phone, and online.
• Provide support with other duties as assigned.
