About The Position

Inside Sales Account Representatives are responsible for retaining, upselling, initiating price improvement, and reducing lost business percentages year-over-year with existing accounts assigned, often for a specific territory. Primary responsibilities are to receive in-bound calls from current customers and to make outbound milk run calls for customer retention and contract renewals. This position uses problem solving skills on a daily basis to resolve customer inquiries and maintain strong customer relationships.

  • Proven analytical/problem solving skills for the customer and the company
  • Proficient in Windows and Microsoft applications
  • Excellent customer service and data entry skills
  • Must work efficiently and effectively, both independently and as a team
  • Ability to meet deadlines and complete assignments within stated time frames
  • Ability to always present and maintain a professional appearance and demeanor
  • Legally eligible to work in the United States
  • Must successfully complete pre-employment testing
  • Must be able to read and speak the English language

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in Inside Sales, Sales Support, Administrative Assistance, or similar experience is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Oversee account management of existing lower revenue producing commercial customer accounts with a focus on customer satisfaction and quality of revenue
  • Retain and develop long-term business relationships with existing customers through proactive and prompt resolution of customer concerns, and timely service agreement updates
  • Conduct phone calls, and electronic communications to existing customers to foster relationships
  • Develop and provide a thorough knowledge of Rumpke's available services, lines of business and pricing structure, while offering additional services to existing customers to increase revenue
  • Respond to service cancellation requests with priority and follow-up in an attempt to save the business where possible
  • Utilize the Company's CRM on a daily basis, scheduling and documenting activities, and developing customer profiles
  • Maintain canceled customer list (prospects), flipping to Outside Sales Representatives for future sales
  • Complete required Customer Service Agreements, reports, and other paperwork in a timely manner and in accordance with Company policy
  • Regularly meet with management to review weekly sales activities and status of customers
  • Perform other duties as assigned
