About The Position

RIDGEVIEW, a not-for-profit community mental health center based in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, is hiring a part-time Inpatient Unit Registered Nurse for its inpatient psychiatric unit. The role is for 24 hours per week on the 8:00 p.m.–8:30 a.m. shift. The nurse assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care for adult and geriatric patients, and serves as team leader by providing immediate direction to other nursing team members. The position requires effective therapeutic work with individuals and groups. Requirements

• Degree or diploma from a college or an accredited school of nursing.
• Current license issued by the Tennessee Board of Nursing.
• Ability and drive to work effectively in a therapeutic relationship with individuals and groups.
• Valid driver’s license and safe driving history.
• Ability to obtain CPR and CPI certification.
• Employment is contingent upon a clean drug screen, background check, and driving record; Ridgeview conducts background checks, motor vehicle record checks, license and degree verification, and drug screens at hire.

• One or more years of psychiatric nursing experience.
