Foundation Health, LLC•Fairbanks, AK
•Onsite

About The Position

Foundation Health Partners is recruiting caring, motivated people for its Inpatient CNA Sponsorship Program at Fairbanks Memorial Hospital, with openings on the Medical (2S) and Medical/Surgical (3W) inpatient units. Applicants shadow a unit as part of the selection process, and department leaders determine final placements together. Participants are hired as PRN before classes and complete hiring, onboarding, and required background checks. During the first half of training, participants focus on school and are not required to work regular hospital shifts, though they may attend paid staff meetings, trainings, and team activities when their schedule allows. During the second half, they begin paid hospital orientation and limited shifts that fit their classes. Paid work hours vary during training, and the program does not require or guarantee a set number of weekly hours during its first half. After training, participants work as Patient Care Techs on an inpatient unit. After certification, they may move toward a CNA position on their assigned unit once they meet program and job requirements and a position is available. Participants are expected to attend classes and make steady progress, complete training and certification steps, attend paid progress check-ins with their manager and educator, raise questions or concerns, attend assigned shifts and orientation during the second half, and treat patients, families, and coworkers with kindness, honesty, and respect.
