About The Position

The Inpatient Care Physician will contribute specialized medical expertise to an AI project focused on improving clinical documentation and decision-support tools. The physician will use real-world clinical knowledge to help train next-generation AI systems and influence how models learn, reason, and perform.

Requirements

MD or DO credential.
Board certification in Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, or Hospital Medicine.
Expertise in patient assessment, diagnosis, and hospital-based clinical care workflows.
Ability to review and critique clinical notes and raw health record data with strong attention to detail.
Demonstrated clinical reasoning and decision-making skills relevant to inpatient care.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a commitment to clear, constructive feedback.

Nice To Haves

Current or recent hands-on inpatient or hospitalist clinical experience, preferably within the past two years.
Experience with chart review, clinical documentation improvement, utilization review, or medical coding/QA.

Responsibilities

Review and assess medical records, including FHIR data and clinical notes, for AI training and development.
Evaluate clinical information and verify that claims and statements are supported by appropriate documentation.
Analyze inpatient documentation, including HPI, PMH, assessments, and care plans, to identify discrepancies or omissions.
Apply consistent standards and follow guidelines to ensure accurate and reliable clinical data review.
Provide detailed, actionable feedback to project teams to improve AI model performance and data quality.
Communicate findings and insights through written reports and verbal discussions with project stakeholders.
