About The Position

Adena Health System is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to join its expanding Inpatient Cardiology team in Chillicothe, Ohio. This is a 100% inpatient position providing comprehensive cardiovascular care to hospitalized patients as part of a collaborative, physician-led team. The Nurse Practitioner performs inpatient cardiology consultations and subsequent patient visits, participates in daily physician rounds, collaborates with cardiologists on treatment plans, and manages patient care independently while working closely with the physician team. The role calls for compassionate, evidence-based care in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with rotating weekend coverage approximately every couple of months. A flex day is provided during the week following weekend coverage. New providers complete a structured 90-day onboarding program led by the Inpatient NP Lead, including individual mentorship, rotational training with experienced inpatient APPs, progressive clinical independence, and collaborative physician support. The cardiology team includes non-invasive and interventional cardiologists, an electrophysiologist, a cardiothoracic surgeon, inpatient Nurse Practitioners, and outpatient Nurse Practitioners who can assist inpatient when needed. Nice To Haves

Nurse Practitioner experience within a health system setting.
Previous experience in cardiology, critical care, a cardiac catheterization lab, an emergency department, or hospital medicine.
