Our consulting engineering firm is looking for a structural engineer to join our multidisciplinary team integrated directly at one of our major clients, Pratt & Whitney Canada. The position is within a dynamic industrial environment, where we work closely with the client and the general contractor on site. The projects are small to medium in scale, but are characterized by high volume, requiring rigor, efficiency, and organizational skills.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (Structural option)
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in structural engineering
  • Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ)
  • Ability to take technical leadership on projects
  • Comfortable in a collaborative and integrated client environment
  • Good organizational skills and ability to manage a high volume of projects
  • Excellent communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in an industrial environment (a major asset)

Responsibilities

  • Act as project manager for structural projects on site
  • Design and validate structural solutions adapted to an existing industrial environment
  • Coordinate work with internal teams (mechanical, electrical, process, etc.)
  • Collaborate closely with the client and the general contractor
  • Ensure compliance with standards, codes, and safety requirements
  • Manage multiple mandates simultaneously in a context of tight deadlines
  • Review plans, specifications, and shop drawings
  • Provide technical support during construction
