Requirements

  • Structured analytical mindset, focused on the rigor and reliability of proposed solutions.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders.
  • Strong sense of responsibility, particularly in critical and regulated environments.
  • Solid autonomy and a strong ability to work in a collaborative framework.
  • Proactive approach to identifying technical issues and ensuring the quality of deliverables.
  • Knowledge of studies: short-circuit, coordination, arc-flash, harmonics, flicker, grounding, and power flow.
  • Good knowledge of medium and high voltage networks, their behaviors, and their operational constraints.
  • Excellent ability to model electrical systems and interpret results to guide technical decisions.
  • Ease in producing detailed, structured technical reports adapted to the needs of clients and projects.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (IGEE an asset).
  • Member of the OIQ.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in specialized studies (circuit, protection relays, control logic).
  • Demonstrated experience with advanced electrical network analysis software (e.g., EMTP, ETAP, CYME, SKM, EasyPower, ARCPRO, CDEGS, others).
  • Experience in MV/HV projects in industrial, institutional, or public contexts.

Nice To Haves

  • Complementary experience in control and protection or in 25kV and above switchgear.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and perform specialized studies including short-circuit, coordination, arc-flash, harmonics, flicker, grounding, and power flow.
  • Assess medium and high voltage networks, understanding their behavior and operational constraints.
  • Model electrical systems and interpret results to guide technical decisions.
  • Produce detailed, structured technical reports tailored to client and project needs.
  • Communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders.
  • Identify technical issues proactively and ensure the quality of deliverables.
  • Work autonomously while also collaborating effectively within a team.
