About The Position

Intermediate Application Support provides technical and project support for plant IT applications and daily activities for the IT Complex. The role assists with corporate IT-sponsored application integration, change management, incident management, and problem resolution, meeting manufacturing objectives while minimizing lost production due to IT-related issues.

The position impacts Manufacturing and IT at the plant daily. By executing and implementing existing standards and best-practice solutions, the application support technician helps provide a stable and robust environment for manufacturing business partners.

Requirements

• Must be self-directed and able to work independently.
• Ability to make tough calls while working with bargaining and non-bargaining personnel.
• Ability to contribute to large, complex projects.
• Ensure freedom of information with employees and management at all levels.
• Balance multiple demands from business partners and IT senior management.
• Exhibit strong business discipline and acumen.
• Build effective relationships across all levels of employees and management.
• Knowledge of IT manufacturing system applications and plant support.
• Knowledge of machine monitoring, performance and quality systems, component tracking, common plant and office network environments, engineering systems, and identification systems.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or an IT-related field is preferred.
• Experience in a manufacturing facility is preferred.
• Project Management experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and project support for plant IT applications and daily activities for the IT Complex.
• Assist with corporate IT-sponsored application integration, change management, incident management, and problem resolution.
• Help meet manufacturing objectives while minimizing lost production due to IT-related issues.
• Execute and implement existing standards and best-practice solutions to support a stable, robust manufacturing environment.
• Work with Manufacturing Engineering to launch and integrate IT systems from concept through production, following appropriate change management procedures.
