About The Position

Adrian Steel is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer to help plan, execute, and maintain infrastructure supporting the company and its subsidiaries. The role provides input to the Architect on infrastructure planning to ensure enterprise and external business systems are supported. It executes plans for enterprise networks, servers, cloud platforms, VPN, cybersecurity, IT, and communications systems, and supports technologies that enable development and infrastructure teams to transition to DevOps.

The Infrastructure Engineer participates in network and operations project teams, provides tier 2 help desk support for operations and infrastructure issues, and adheres to and drives ITIL practices. Candidates should bring strong technical expertise, problem-solving and communication skills, organizational discipline, integrity, and a future-focused approach.

Requirements

• Minimum 2–3 years of experience as an Infrastructure Administrator, Infrastructure Engineer or Architect, Site Reliability Engineer, Enterprise System Administrator, DevOps Engineer, Cloud Engineer, or in a similar role.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure and experience with Kubernetes and container architectures.
• Familiarity and comfort with scripting solutions in PowerShell and/or Bash.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience with Security.
• Must meet and maintain all requirements to be a 'Driver' as defined in Adrian Steel Fleet Corporate Driving Policy.
• Valid driver's license.
• Acceptable driving record as authorized by Adrian Steel.
• Ability to understand the company's business segments and processes.
• Expert-level knowledge of on-premise infrastructure and cloud-based platforms.
• Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
• Ability to challenge effectively and communicate confidently with all levels of leadership.
• Strong organizational skills and discipline.
• High integrity; well respected and trustworthy with internal stakeholders.
• Future-focused.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's degree in CS/CIS/MIS preferred; the company will consider a combination of education and experience.
• ITIL experience or certification preferred.
• Experience in Microsoft 365 infrastructure areas.

Responsibilities

• Handle tier 2 help desk problems and requests related to operations and infrastructure.
• Adhere to and drive ITIL practices.
