About The Position

The Infrastructure Engineer I is a member of Arrow Electronics’ Global Warehouse Infrastructure Services team. This internal customer-facing role implements and improves support for mission-critical hardware and software to help ensure the reliability and sustainability of warehouse and Integration Center production networks. The role calls for strong prioritization, responsiveness, customer service, and written and verbal communication, as well as positive working relationships with internal and external contacts. The position provides PC hardware and software support to local and remote users and hands-on infrastructure support for warehouse and Integration Center production environments. It covers end-user devices, industrial and office printers, mobile devices, network hardware and software, network security, documentation, asset inventory, capacity planning, and assistance to server, telecommunications, and network teams. The role is fully in office, Monday through Friday; schedules may evolve to include weekend days to support operations and production. In-state travel may be required, up to 20%.

Requirements

At least 3 years of experience supporting PC users and IT infrastructure in a multi-location corporate environment.
Strong knowledge and experience with Windows 11, MS Outlook, MS Office, iOS, and Android ecosystems.
Strong knowledge of network protocols, including TCP/IP, BGP, and OSPF.
Experience with Cisco, Juniper, or similar networking equipment.
Understanding of wireless networking, including Wi-Fi standards, RF principles, and mobile connectivity.
Experience creating knowledge-base articles from ticket data and end-user support interactions.
Experience driving innovation, researching complex problems, and delivering proof-of-concept evaluations.
Experience participating in disaster recovery planning and providing on-site support for DR drills as needed.
Demonstrable ability to establish effective customer business relationships that support high customer satisfaction.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

Provide on-site infrastructure support for local and remote users.
Troubleshoot and resolve PC issues.
Maintain and support industrial and office printers, including label printers, laser printers, and multifunction devices.
Support mobile device technology, including Zebra tablets and Zebra mobile handhelds.
Coordinate with vendors for repairs and parts replacement.
Configure and maintain network hardware and software, including routers, switches, and wireless access points.
Implement and maintain security protocols to protect the company’s network.
Maintain infrastructure documentation, diagrams, and operational procedures.
Assist with capacity planning and network growth initiatives.
Provide local hands-on support to server, telecommunications, and network teams for Integration Center and warehouse production environments.
Maintain up-to-date asset inventory information.
Participate in disaster recovery planning and provide on-site support for disaster recovery drills as needed.
Create knowledge-base articles based on ticket data and end-user support interactions.
Research complex problems and support innovation, including proof-of-concept evaluations.
Travel in-state when required, up to 20%.
