About The Position

Merrick & Company is hiring an entry-level Civil Infrastructure Engineer to join its Civil Infrastructure and Development team in the Greenwood Village, Colorado office. The role supports land development and municipal infrastructure projects, working with design engineers and technicians. The engineer performs design work and prepares construction drawings, reports, calculations, estimates, bid packages, and other project deliverables, while communicating with clients and government agencies.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• Zero to two years of experience in land development and/or public works.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

• Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) / Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification.
• Recent demonstrable experience in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Perform independent design tasks and prepare construction drawings, reports, calculations, and associated project deliverables.
• Work with a team of design engineers and technicians on land development and municipal infrastructure projects.
• Prepare and review working drawings, details, layouts, surveys, estimates, and other work products.
• Exercise initiative, judgment, and knowledge within assigned areas of responsibility.
• Perform cost estimates, prepare bid packages, and review contractor bids.
• Interface with clients and local, state, and federal government agencies.
