About The Position

Monitors and maintains the local and wide area network infrastructure equipment, including but not limited to hubs, modems, switches, network appliances, and routers. Utilizes network management tools to monitor and maintain network health and performance. Monitors and maintains network circuitry technologies and connections, including but not limited to frame relay, broadband, and satellite. Monitors and maintains enterprise wiring infrastructure including but not limited to fiber, UTP, wireless and network racks. Monitors and maintains virtual private network infrastructure. Isolates and resolves network-related service calls and problems. Maintains Networking Services documentation. Serves as the primary liaison between information technology service providers for interface and customization needs. Researches new products and potential solutions. Manages internal Network Services projects. Proactive in identifying problems and takes necessary steps or implements procedures to resolve problems before they become larger and more critical. Provides technical assistance regarding all network devices, circuitry and core infrastructure throughout the project including troubleshooting, configuring, installing, documenting, and sustaining the projects network infrastructure. Conducts appropriate risk analysis before making decisions related to technology and infrastructure.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Information Technology or related field is required
  • A minimum of three years of experience in Information Technology pertaining to networking technologies is required
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; strong management and organizational skills; ability to work across all levels of management and staff
  • Ability to work under minimum supervision
