About The Position
This position is contingent upon contract award. The Information Technology Specialist will be responsible for providing technical support and maintaining a large, diverse, and complex adult education and vocational training system. Qualified candidates should have Senior enlisted Naval Construction Force or Civil Corps Officer experience to be considered for this position.
Requirements
- 5 years’ experience or related experience in training development and computer systems and applications.
- Analyze and refine systems requirements.
- Translate systems requirements into applications prototypes.
- Plan and design systems architecture
- Write, debug, and maintain code.
- Determine and design applications architecture.
- Determines output media/formats.
- Designs user interfaces.
- Work with customers to test applications.
- Assure software and systems quality and functionality.
- Integrate hardware and software components.
- Write and maintain program documentation.
- Evaluate new applications software technologies.
- Ensures the rigorous application of information security/ information assurance policies, principles, and practices to the delivery of application software services.

Responsibilities
- Installing, configuring, and maintaining hardware, software, and network systems; monitoring system performance to ensure optimal uptime.
- Troubleshooting IT issues, resolving system outages, and providing support to end-users.
- Implementing IT security protocols, monitoring for vulnerabilities, and ensuring compliance with data privacy standards.
- Planning and executing IT projects such as system upgrades, network installations, and software migrations.
- Working with other departments to understand technology requirements and integrate new technologies.
- Setting up new user accounts, managing permissions, and configuring devices and email systems.
- Additional duties as assigned.
