Develop reliable metrics for hardware, software and storage while ensuring strategic capacity planning. Direct and support the maintenance and operation of client, server and network infrastructures. Collaborates with departmental representatives to plan/coordinate joint patient and management objectives. Plans, directs, and administers the activities of system administrators, and other technical staff and services of the Information Systems. Prepares and manages department budget to ensure expenses are within organizational goals. Coordinates departmental projects and instructs staff in the development and implementation of new capabilities. Ensures departmental compliance with organizational, departmental specific policies/procedures, safety and health standards, and state/federal regulations and accrediting agencies. Act in accordance with the established mission, vision, and values. Abide by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability privacy and security regulations regarding all aspects of Protected Health Information (PHI). Maintain effective communication and professional working relationships with patients/clients and their representatives, team members, contractors, physicians, peers, outside agencies, and the public. Minimum Qualifications: Required Education and Experience Associates Degree in Computer Science or related field 2+ years’ management experience in an IT environment Cisco, Microsoft, VMWare and Security certificates highly desirable Required License/Certifications/Registrations None Preferred Qualifications: Preferred Education and Experience 5+ years HIT related experience in an acute care health system environment. Preferred License/Certifications/Registrations None Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Extensive information systems operational knowledge including regulations and requirements of accrediting agencies. Effective leadership skills. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively. Physical Requirements: With or without accommodation. Requirements

  • Associates Degree in Computer Science or related field
  • 2+ years’ management experience in an IT environment
  • Cisco, Microsoft, VMWare and Security certificates highly desirable
