About The Position

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is seeking Information Security Operations Center Analyst interns to work in the Church’s 24/7 Information Security Operations Center (ISOC). The role involves identifying, analyzing, and responding to cyber threats targeting Church networks, systems, and data globally. This internship offers an opportunity to work within one of the largest information technology centers in the Wasatch Front, contributing to technology that furthers the mission of the Church. Interns will work under supervision with clear escalation paths and participate in a structured in-house training plan to develop proficiency in technical security issues. The program aims to provide robust experience in a global SOC and serve as a pipeline for full-time recruitment.

Requirements

Must be a member of the Church who is worthy of a temple recommend.
Energetic and dedicated individual who loves learning.
Ability to work shift work in a highly interactive team environment.

Nice To Haves

Experience with enterprise tools such as Splunk, Palo Alto, Cisco, Microsoft Cloud App Security, and Sophos.

Responsibilities

Identify, analyze, and respond to cyber threats to Church networks, systems, and data across the globe.
Perform technical analysis of logs from networks, applications, security sensors, and endpoints.
Investigate events such as phishing attacks and malware incidents.
Determine if an event is malicious, assess its impact, and decide on necessary actions.
Work with state-of-the-art tools to help develop enterprise solutions.
Participate in training to gain practical experience and develop analytic abilities.
