Manufacturing Intern - (Jan 2027)
About The Position
Westmag is an American manufacturer of drone motors and robot actuators, committed to building and scaling in the U.S. to serve the global market. The Manufacturing Intern will work on the production floor supporting advanced manufacturing of drone motors and robotic actuators. The intern will assist with assembly, process documentation, and production-line setup and improvements; support quality and testing activities; and contribute to production-ramp projects, documentation, and reporting as assigned. Westmag's internship and co-op program provides students with hands-on experience and opportunities to work closely with experienced professionals on projects supporting the company's mission to innovate in drone motor manufacturing.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program related to Engineering, Operations, Business, or a relevant field.
- Strong interest in robotics, drone technology, manufacturing, or technology startups.
- Previous internship or project-based student organization experience, such as Formula SAE, Rocketry, or Design Build Fly.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Good communication skills and willingness to learn.
- Authorized to work in the United States for the duration of the internship/co-op period.
Nice To Haves
- Basic knowledge of relevant tools or software, such as CAD, Excel, or data analysis; preferred but not required.
