The Infectious Disease Specialist will provide outpatient and/or inpatient medical care to patients/beneficiaries according to adapted and updated medical knowledge, MSF protocols, values, and universal hygiene standards to improve the patients/beneficiaries health conditions. This role is for international humanitarian missions and requires a minimum availability of 6 months. The position involves applying medical knowledge for diagnosis and prevention, conducting consultations, prescribing treatments, monitoring patient evolution, managing medicines and equipment, ensuring hygiene standards, collecting and analyzing epidemiological data, and training the medical/paramedical multidisciplinary team. Specific focus will be on managing advanced HIV and opportunistic infections, including disseminated tuberculosis, and severe acute malnutrition. The specialist will also monitor antibiotic use and contribute to standard operating procedures. Due to local legal restrictions, international doctors cannot perform direct clinical work but can examine patients with consent, advise local doctors, and supervise procedures.
