About The Position

This is a Locum Tenens position for an Infectious Disease Physician in an outpatient clinic setting in Ft. Wayne, IN. The physician will provide comprehensive infectious disease consultation and management, evaluating and treating patients with various infectious diseases, including the management of vascular access device infections. The role involves performing microscopic specimen evaluation and administering intrathecal anti-infective agents as needed. The physician will collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes and maintain accurate patient records, ensuring compliance with clinical protocols. The coverage period is ASAP – Ongoing, with a shift schedule of Monday – Friday, 8a – 5p. The average daily patient volume is 20-30, with 1 admission and 1-2 phone consults per day. The facility is a Level II Trauma and PEDS Level II facility utilizing Cerner EMR, with a support staff including 1 RN, 1 MA, 1 PA/NP, and 2 Office Staff.

Requirements

• Board Certified or Board Eligible (BC/BE)
• Licensed in IN
• BLS Certification
• Hospital Privileges Required
