About The Position

Sanford Health is seeking a BC/BE Pediatric Infectious Diseases physician to join its well-established team in Marshfield, Wisconsin. The physician will work collaboratively and share call with one other MD. The role involves supporting the care of patients with various infectious diseases including congenital infections, HIV, Lyme Disease, Blastomycosis, Lymphadenopathy, MRSA infections, Recurrent Fevers, and Tick-Borne Illnesses. The Infectious Disease Clinic is co-located with other pediatric outpatient specialties, Adolescent Medicine, and Pediatric primary care. The position also encourages involvement in medical education and research.

Requirements

  • M.D. or D.O. degree.
  • Successful completion of an Internal Medicine or Pediatric residency program.
  • Successful completion of a fellowship in Pediatric Infectious Diseases accredited by the ACGME, the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physician and Surgeons of Canada.
  • Certification in the primary area of practice by the appropriate specialty/ subspecialty board of the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS), the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, as applicable.
  • Applicants who are not board certified at the time of application but who have completed their fellowship training within the last five years shall be eligible, however must achieve board certification within five years from the date of completion of their fellowship training unless the appropriate governing Board waives such requirement.
  • Demonstrate active involvement of inpatient services, which included the care of at least 50 pediatric patients in the last 12 months.
  • Demonstrate active involvement in the care of at least 50 pediatric patients in clinical practice in the last 12 months.

  • Admit, evaluate, diagnose, consult, and provide care to pediatric and adolescent patients with infectious diseases of all types and in all organ systems.
