About The Position

Sanford Health is seeking a BC/BE Pediatric Infectious Diseases physician to join its well-established team in Marshfield, Wisconsin. This role involves collaborative work and shared call with one other physician. The position is supported by an on-site Children’s Hospital offering a comprehensive range of services including women’s health, newborn nursery, General Pediatrics, PICU, NICU, and a pediatric sedation unit. The physician will support the care of patients with various conditions such as congenital infections, HIV, Lyme Disease, Blastomycosis, Lymphadenopathy, MRSA infections, Recurrent Fevers, and Tick-Borne Illnesses. The Infectious Disease Clinic is co-located with other pediatric outpatient specialties, Adolescent Medicine, and Pediatric primary care. Current fellows are encouraged to apply. Marshfield Children's Hospital is Central Wisconsin's only accredited pediatric hospital, equipped with advanced technology and over 40 pediatric specialties. It features a 24-bed level 3 NICU, an 8-bed PICU, and 26-bed pediatric acute beds. The hospital is an ACS Verified Level 2 Pediatric Trauma Program and a member of the Children’s Oncology Group. Physicians are encouraged to participate in medical education and research.

Requirements

M.D. or D.O. degree.
Successful completion of an Internal Medicine or Pediatric residency program.
Successful completion of a fellowship in Pediatric Infectious Diseases accredited by the ACGME, the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physician and Surgeons of Canada in the residency.
Certification in the primary area of practice by the appropriate specialty/ subspecialty board of the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS), the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, as applicable.
Applicants who are not board certified at the time of application but who have completed their fellowship training within the last five years shall be eligible, however must achieve board certification within five years from the date of completion of their fellowship training unless the appropriate governing Board waives such requirement.
