Infectious Disease Physician - Greenville, NC
About The Position
The Infectious Disease Physician provides bedside wound management in post-acute care settings, including skilled nursing facilities and long-term acute care hospitals. Physicians conduct weekly wound rounds at each facility, typically visiting 2–3 facilities per day and treating approximately 20–30 patients per day. This is a mobile practice, with facility visits within a 40–60 mile radius of the practice location. Clinical documentation is completed in real time at the point of care using a proprietary wound-specific EMR. The position offers full-time or part-time scheduling. Full-time physicians work 4–5 weekdays per week, with the posting describing a Monday–Friday schedule of 7 a.m.–4 p.m.; part-time physicians work a minimum of 3 days per week. There are no nights, on-call duties, or weekend clinical responsibilities. Paid onboarding training and a six-month wound care fellowship are provided. The role is W-2 employment, and work visa sponsorship is not available.
Requirements
- Hold a full, active, unrestricted MD or DO medical license in the state where you wish to practice.
- Commit to at least 3 weekdays per week, Monday through Friday.
