About The Position
Locum tenens Infectious Disease Physician providing inpatient infectious disease consultation services at Gulf Coast Medical Center and HealthPark Medical Center in Fort Myers, Florida. The coverage period is December 7, 2026, through May 31, 2027. The role includes rounding and an average daily volume of 25 patients. The physician will provide weekday and weekend day coverage from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with call from 4:00 p.m. Friday through 8:00 a.m. Monday, and will collaborate with a team of four inpatient physicians. Hospital privileges are required, and the stated credentialing timeline is 30 days. Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance are covered.
Requirements
- Board certified in Infectious Disease by ABIM.
- Active Florida medical license.
- BLS certification.
- Procedure log requirements met.
- Clean background and NPDB.
- Current CV and completed Lee Attestation Form required.
- Hospital privileges required.
Responsibilities
- Provide inpatient infectious disease consultations at Gulf Coast Medical Center and HealthPark Medical Center campuses.
- Manage an average daily volume of 25 patients in an inpatient setting.
- Provide weekday and weekend day coverage from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
- Provide call coverage from 4:00 p.m. Friday through 8:00 a.m. Monday.
- Collaborate with a team of four inpatient physicians to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to credentialing and compliance requirements.
- Participate in rounding.
