About The Position

The Learning Experience® – Staten Island, NY is hiring an experienced infant/toddler teacher for our 6 weeks to 12 month and 1-2 year old classrooms. Join our growing childcare center in Staten Island, New York and make a meaningful impact in early childhood education. At The Learning Experience, we make early education joyful, engaging and fun so children are happy to learn, play and grow. Our curriculum focuses on the six ages and stages of early childhood development and engages children in hands-on learning activities that encourage them to explore and solve problems at their own rate of development. This forms a foundation for kids to Learn, Play and Grow under the care of our nurturing teachers and staff. At TLE®, we’ve created a full cast of characters that become our little learners’ educators, partners and friends through their preschool education journey. Each character has a unique personality and area of interest and brings learning to life by allowing children to explore the world through fun and imagination.

Requirements

• Associate degree in Early Childhood Education or on a Study Plan toward a Bachelor’s degree
• Prior childcare, and daycare experience required
• Strong understanding of early childhood education and development
• Ability to manage classroom routines and meet children’s daily needs
• Professional, patient, and team-oriented mindset
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and actively supervise children

Responsibilities

• Lead and support a preschool or daycare classroom for ages 2 to 5
• Implement our L.E.A.P. Curriculum® in a childcare setting
• Create a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment
• Build strong relationships with children and families
• Collaborate with staff to support enrollment and engagement goals
• Ensure the safety, supervision, and development of every child
