About The Position

The Goddard School in Brier Creek is seeking Lead and Assistant Infant Teachers to create a nurturing environment for young children. Teachers implement an engaging, developmentally appropriate curriculum using the proprietary Wonder of Learning® program, lead daily activities, and collaborate with a supportive team. The school describes its facilities as state-of-the-art and its workplace as supportive, fun, vibrant, and nurturing. The franchise owner is the employer and sets the location’s wage and benefit programs.

Requirements

High school diploma required.
Develop relationships and communicate effectively with children, families, and faculty members.

Nice To Haves

Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education preferred.
1–2 years of previous experience working with young children in a licensed childcare or preschool setting preferred.

Responsibilities

Implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities using the Wonder of Learning® curriculum to engage children and support their growth.
Create and maintain a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment.
Communicate openly, effectively, and positively with families and guardians about children’s progress and daily activities.
Supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities and uphold health and safety standards and licensing regulations.
Participate in ongoing professional development and training to enhance teaching skills.
Observe, assess, and document children’s learning and development to inform activities and share insights with families.
Support Assistant Teachers and Resource Teachers and foster a collaborative, positive team environment.
Model and implement positive guidance strategies to support social-emotional growth and conflict resolution.
