About The Position

The Malvern School is seeking a full-time Assistant Teacher for the Infant classroom at its Valley Forge location. The teacher supports the implementation of the school’s Early Childhood Education program in accordance with school policies and philosophy, maintains a safe, healthy, and educational classroom environment, and communicates regularly with parents in person and through technology. The school emphasizes innovative programming, a quality, child-centered philosophy, teamwork, professional conduct, and clean, attractive facilities. Its curriculum is designed to meet or exceed National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) standards.

Requirements

• High school diploma and at least 18 years of age.
• At least 2,500 hours of documented experience with young children in a licensed facility; or 15 relevant college credits (or a CDA) and at least 1,250 hours of documented experience with young children in a licensed facility.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing the Early Childhood Education program in accordance with school policies and Malvern School philosophy.
• Maintain a safe, healthy, and educational environment for the class.
• Communicate regularly with parents in person and through technology, meeting or exceeding parent expectations.
