About The Position

The Malvern School is seeking a full-time Assistant Teacher for its Infant classroom at The Malvern School of Downingtown. The role supports implementation of the school’s Early Childhood Education program in accordance with school policies and philosophy, helps maintain a safe, healthy, educational classroom, and communicates regularly with parents in person and through technology. The school emphasizes a quality, child-centered approach, teamwork, professional development, and opportunities for career advancement.

Requirements

• High school diploma and at least 18 years of age.
• At least 2,500 hours of documented experience with young children in a licensed facility; or 15 relevant college credits or a CDA and at least 1,250 hours of documented experience with young children in a licensed facility.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing the Early Childhood Education program in accordance with school policies and the Malvern School philosophy.
• Maintain a safe, healthy, and educational environment for the class.
• Communicate regularly with parents in person and through technology, meeting or exceeding parent expectations.
