About The Position

The Goddard School® in Vinings, Georgia, is seeking a motivated and caring Assistant Infant Teacher. The role supports the Lead Teacher in creating engaging programs, managing the classroom, and maintaining a safe, stimulating environment. The school describes a supportive, collaborative team and a premium educational experience in state-of-the-art facilities, focused on helping children become joyful, confident learners.

The position requires availability Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The starting pay rate is $17 per hour.

Requirements

• High school diploma required.
• Previous experience working with young children in a licensed childcare or preschool setting required.
• Show empathy and compassion for young children.
• Work productively without supervision.
• Have a basic understanding of child development.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. in connection with the handling of children.
• Availability Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Nice To Haves

• Associate or bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education preferred.
• At least one year of experience with this particular age group preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Lead Teacher in implementing age-appropriate lesson plans.
• Support children’s social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
• Prepare classroom materials and maintain classroom safety and cleanliness.
• Supervise children and provide individualized support.
• Help communicate with parents about their child’s progress and activities.
• Follow health and safety guidelines.
• Support routine child care tasks to promote a nurturing learning environment.
